Include as much detail as you can without making the drawing too complicated.
 Include features which may influence the design of the system, for example, ponds and fountains etc.
Other information that is beneficial is the location of large trees or particularly dense shrubbery.
 Include as many measurements as possible. When drawing borders if the edges are convoluted then
include the widest and narrowest measurements.
 If you have hanging baskets, pots or tubs show their positions.

 If your garden slopes indicate which direction this is in.
 Do any of the areas suffer from unusual dryness?
 Please show any areas that may have obstacles in the pathway of the pipe work.
For example, features such as driveways, (you can take the pipe work underground, this is hard work,
however not impossible)
 If you have hanging baskets, pots or tubs show their sizes.
 If you have patio slabs, state if they can be lifted or if they are cemented down.

Do you want the lawns included in the system?
Do you want to install the system yourself?
Do you want an automatic system (i.e. timer controlled)?
Do you have a greenhouse to include?
Do you have paths or driveways under which pipes cannot be buried?

Have you shown the location of the water source?
Have you stated what type of measurements you have used (i.e. feet, meters etc.)?
Have you indicated the areas you want included in the system?
Have you shown the sizes and location of hanging baskets, pots etc.?
Have you shown the length/ width of window boxes?
Have you stated the surface texture of walls?
Have you kept a copy of your drawing for your records?
(Photographs of the garden would be an advantage)
